My Birthday

My birthday is only in five days and I'm so excited! I don't even know why I'm excited 'cause it's not like anything is going to be going on. I've already got my presents from my parents so I won't be getting any on my birthday, my whole family is going to be away for a hockey tournament in Coquitlam and I can't even have a party to celebrate because my birthday is on spring break and everyone is going away. I'm going to have to have a party over two weeks after my birthday, which sucks because it feels weird since your birthday has already passed. I'm also having difficulties with my guest list. I can't seem to eliminate people from my list but I have too much and need to get rid of some.. but I can't cause I like them all. Anyway, I'm gonna go.

Roberts Creek!

I've got over three hundred pictures from our trip to Roberts Creek and hundreds of words to describe the trip. I can tell this will be a long blog entry.

On Friday morning I went to Roberts Creek with Elisa, Lori, Lauren, Sarah, and Jody. It was so devine! Roberts Creek was such a gorgeous place! The sun was so hot and the ocean was such a sparkling delight! We spend our days swimming in the ocean, soaking up the sun on castle rock, shopping in the cool stores downtown, and just being silly. My favourite thing to do was going to the beach. It was to reacful and relaxing. I loved it! One of my favourite moments at the beahc was when Lauren and I were standing on this rock when all the sudden these waves started splashing up and drenching us. We ended up just dunking our heads in the water but it was so fun! We tried to balance on rocks on the middle of the water without falling off when huge waves came. When we went shopping we went to this store called "Lucy's" which all of us loved. It was a type of surf store with all the hip clothing. I bought two shirts there. On the way to the stores each day there always seemed to be very fun songs playing. We had a fun time moving to the music in car rides. Funky Town! At the beach we also liked to go searching for sea creatures. We found a sea snake, tons of crabs -little and big- , a starfish, and an oyster with a creature inside. We had a In Roberts Creek we stayed at Elisa's grandparents, Baba and Papa. They were great people and I really enjoyed staying with them. One thing I loved so much about the trip was the delicious meals that Baba cooked us! We had a lovely dinner every night with a wonderful desert! She is such a good cook! I can see where Elisa got her cooking skills from! I had such a fantabulous time in Roberts Creek and I hope I'm able to go back again! Thank-you so much for inviting me Elisa!

This is a picture which Elisa took of myself putting my hair up. This is was the time when Elisa, Sarah, Lauren, Jody, and I were sitting outside under the sun having fruit punch and yummy meat sandwhichs that Baba made for us.

This picture was taken on the last day by Lauren when it was super windy outside. Lauren and I were dying to get into the water because the waves were so huge and looked extremely fun but we had ot leave soon so we couldn't. Instead, I just walked to to the rocks in the middle of the water and Lauren took pictures. Here is a picture of me on a rock getting splashed when a huge wave came by.

And yet another one taken by Lauren on the last day. THis on was when an enormous wave came by and I quickly jumped up onto a higher rock so I would get pushed into the water.

Waterslides!

On Thursday I went to the waterslides with Lauren, Terri, Phil, Jody, Elisa, and the Shepards. It was so fantabulous! The weather was great because it was super hot! We went to the TransCanada Waterslides. My favourite slide was the Radical Rapids but for some reason I always was the one to get stuck and take forever to get down. Also at the slides we meet these very attractive lads name Sawyer, Bruce and "Scuba Steve." Lauren knew that I thought they were very attractice so she had a great idea to be the weirdest she could be to embarrass me. It was all a good time though!

Ticket Selling

Wow. I have spend around three and a half hours today selling tickets for the Mission Marlin Swim Club. It was so boring! I would much have rather spent my time doing other things! We were out there for that long and we only sold about twelve tickets! It's so dreadful. I hate the fundraising parts in joining sports!

If anyone one would like to buy a raffle tickets from me, we have tons left! There's some great prizes! ( Actually there very boring prizes. )

Girls Night

Last night I went to Girls Night at Erin's house for New Heights church with Jody, ELisa, and Lauren. It was so fun! We all made some type of food to bring. I made fruit saled, Jody made cookies, Lauren brought veggies and dip, and Elisa made a cake. Everything was delicious! At Erin's house we got a tour of her house, which I love! The decorating is SO nice! Then once everyone arrived we sat down with our goodies and talked about the word "Worship" and what we think it means. I had such a fun night and I am definitely planning on going to the next Girls Night!

Boot Camp Week!!

Ahhhhh! This week at swimming is "boot camp" week. On Monday it wasn't very hard so I wasn't as scared but then I found out that the practice times were changing from 7:30 until 9:00 to 7:30 until 11:00. The practices are hard and they seem liek the never end! We have so swim with our clothes on in the water to make things even harder. I can't wait until this week is over! My muscles are so soar from working so hard. I think it's because we are doing dryland aswell and I'm not as in shape for dryland. I hope I will survive boot camp!

Agassiz Swim Meet

Well I haven't written for a while. I've been really busy with swimming. The past weekend was the Agassiz swim meet. I brought along Jody, Elisa, and Lauren with me. On Friday I left with just Elisa. We got there and it was pouring it but we still had fun. ( Well I did! ) We went to the skate park with Taylor, which is in the same area where we were camping and we played around on my brothers skate board. Once it started raining even harder we went back to our trailors and got into bed. We didn't get to sleep until late because LISA was being very loud. haha. In the morning I got up super early for warm ups. After warm ups Elisa and I watched Coach Carter in my trailor until it was time for my race. I didn't do very well. It was 50 free and I was expecting to make it to finals and hopefully get a best time because I usually do good in that race but I guess Elisa is unlucky! After free it was 50 fly. I added four seconds in the race but I was extremely excited when I found out I had made finals with such a bad time. I was hopeing to get a better time. At my 50 fly finals Lauren, Jody, and Terri showed up to watch. I ended up placing up one spot higher then I went in and I only added three seconds instead of four. So over all it turned out well. After my fly finals Lauren, Elisa, Jody, and I just hung around. We played some lacrosse, watched some movies, ate some goodies, and had a water fight. The water fight was with our whole club so it was very club. We also went to the skate park but it didn't turn out very well because there were some misbehaving teens there so we left. Later in the evening we did Karaoke. A bunch on people from other clubs such as Abby and Haney came to sing and watch. I found that it was very frazzled but other people seemed to enjoy themselves. After the karaoke we went into our tent and went to sleep. I was able to sleep in the next day because I skipped warm-ups and I wasn't until the third race. It was very pleasant! My first race was 100 breast. Breaststroke is my worst stroke but I did very well because I got my first best time of the year. I took two seconds off! I was so happy! My next race was 10 free. I was very excited for that, although I absolutely hate the race because it's very difficult. I was going into the race third but I ended up coming fourth because I added some time. That was alright because I still had finals. In finals I did even worse! I added more time then in the heats and I placed even worse! I was quite angry about that. Oh well! I had lots of fun at the swim meet, especially with my bestest friends ever there with me. I loved hearing them cheer for my when I was standing on the starting block and I loved how they came behind the blocks ( even though there not allowed. ) to help me get my towel after each race. I hope they can come to more of my swim meets!

Which One? Which One?

OH WOE! I Just can't decide. I've been preparing the regional swim competition on the 28th of July and I don't know what to wear. I have always said a girl should make the best use of all her ass-ets, whoops, assets to help influence the judges. Would you help me? Please vote for either Suit A, on the left - or Suit B on the right. I really want to shine.

Hatzic Hoopsters and Spikers!

This week I'm helping coach at Hatzic Hoopsters and Spikers camp! I went to this camp for three years when i was younger and I loved it but then I got older and didn't have time for it. Now i"m coaching! Its loads of fun, expecially since I"m with my greatest friends. It does get very exhausting though. I never knew it would be so much work! I'm working with a group called the Maple Leafs. There the youngest group there so they are VERY cute. Elisa and Jody are looking after the group with me. I wish Lauren could have came with us but she went somewhere else. What I love about coaching at this camp is that all the activitys are things I love to do! ( Except for art! Blah.. ) I also like getting to choose awards to give out to the kids at the end of the day. My favourite child in the group which I gave an award to left today to be in his cousins group. That was a little sad too see him go. My nickname at the camp is "Pass." Theres a funny story to how I got my name. When Mr A was going around and asking what our nicknames were he came to me and I said pass because I hadn't thought of a name yet so I wanted him to pass to the next person. But Mr A thought I meant my name was pass. I said that it wasn't but everyone still calls me pass. My favourite name in the camp is "Stinky or Stinky Feet" who is Elisa. I helped pic her name. Our group and I picked it. Its very funny huh?

The Langley Swim Meet

This weekend was the Langley swim meet. At first I was not looking forward to it at all because I had only got six hours of sleep so I was incredibly tired and definitely didn't feel like swimming. When I got to the meet I swam warm-ups and then after since I wasn't swimming the first race I slept in our van until I thought it was close ot my time to swim. My first race was 50 free. I didn't do very well. I added two seconds and I didn't place well either. Thi meet was very hard because there were many out of region swimmers at it, so there was way more compitition than usual. After 50 free I rested up until 50 fly. I did horendous in fly! I added four seconds and I palced veen worse then free. Fly is my best stroke so I usual do well but not then. After fly there was relays, finals, and then finally it was time to go home. We went to my aunts for dinner where my Uncle tried to cut out my in grown toe nail which has been KILLING me for so long. Especially when I'm swimming. After my aunts I just dove into bed and sleep until my alarm went off. I was so tired but luckly I got a nice nine hour sleep. ( Way better than six hours! )
On Sunday my swimming was even worse but I had a way better time. It was so hot out which was great and I wasn't as tired. In backstroke I got DQed which hasn't happened to be four about three years. I was so mad! The man said I was floating to much and wasn't using my arms. Hello?!?! If I was doing that I wouldn't have gone anywhere! Oh well, backstrokes not my greatest stroke anyway. After back was 100 free. I usually do well in it even though I hate it. I get super nervous for it. I alwasy feel like I'm goign to throw up. My coach says that means I'm ready for my race but obviously I wasn't because I added almost two seconds. Oh well.... I had fun at the meet anyway! I can't wait until next wekk when were staying the night at the agassiz. :)

Sam's Birthday

On Friday night I went to Sam's birthday party. It was soo fun but I had to leave early because I had swimming in the morning. Elisa and I played some volleyball and other stuff outside and then we went on the computer for a little while. We talked on MSN, listened to music and looked at other peoples blogs. Then later we went onto each others blog files and put in entries. It was so funny! After that we went for a swim in the FREEZING cold pool! lisa said that I would get used to it but i never did. I was absolutely freezing and I was losing feeling in my body. After the pool we went into Lisa's shower to warm up but the hot water ran out quickly and we were still freezing so we warmed up under Elisa's quilt until my mum came to pick me up. It was so fun though! I wish I could have stayed later!
